SUMMARY:NYS Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) Coordinator
DESCRIPTION:The Dignity for All Students Act is a state law intended to create a learning environment free of bullying\, harassment\, and  discrimination for ALL students. This is not an easy task. Implementation requires policies and procedures as well as intentional actions to create a safe and supportive school climate where all students know they are valued members of the school community. An integral component of successful implementation is a knowledgeable\, empowered\, and empathetic Dignity Act Coordinator. This session will provide information to Dignity Act Coordinators on the technical requirements of Dignity Act implementation as well as the adaptive skills essential for receiving and responding to incident reports. Misconceptions surrounding School Safety and the Educational Climate (SSEC) reporting will be addressed to ensure attendees are equipped to support questions around reporting. SUMMARY:Virtual DOT Reasonable Suspicion Training
DESCRIPTION:Department of Transportation Regulations Part 382.603 requires all persons designated to supervise operators of commercial motor vehicles who hold Commercial Driver’s Licenses\, receive at least two hours of training on Alcohol Misuse and Controlled Substance use.  Supervisors should use this training to determine whether reasonable suspicion exists to require a driver to submit for testing. \nWho should attend: \n\nManagers\nAdministrators or professionals involved with workplace drug & alcohol policy\nThose who could be responsible for determining whether cause exists for reasonable suspicion drug or alcohol testing\n\nLink will be sent to registrants on day of training.
