SUMMARY:Virtual DOT Hazardous Materials Training for Shippers & Carriers
DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Michael Needham\, CSP\, CSC\, CFPS\, CIT\, CHMP \nUnited States Department of Transportation Hazardous Materials Regulations require that employees who are involved in defined hazardous materials-related tasks be trained on general awareness\, function-specific\, and safety and security related to these assignments. Related tasks may include classifying materials\, packaging\, marking\, and labeling\, loading and unloading\, carrying\, developing shipping papers for\, or working around hazardous materials.  \nHazmat employees must be trained within 90 days of their hire (they may work under the supervision of trained employees in the interim). Re-training must occur each third year. \nThis program is designed to fulfill these requirements for many aspects of shipping and carrying. A test will be performed at the end of the session\, and those that complete the course will receive certification \nWho should attend? \nAll personnel involved in shipping and carrying hazardous materials\, including classifying\, packaging\, marking and labeling\, or working around DOT-classified hazardous materials \nRegistrants will receive training link closer to training date.
