SUMMARY:New York State Department of Labor Mold Refresher Training Course
DESCRIPTION:This 4-hour course will provide the required refresher training for mold assessors\, mold remediation contractors\, and mold abatement workers.  According to New York State it is unlawful for any contractor to engage in mold assessment\, or to advertise or present themselves as a mold assessment contractor\, unless they have a valid mold assessment license issued by the New York State Commissioner of Labor. \nThis training program has been approved by the New York State Department of Labor as it meets the requirements for mold refresher training\, including the specifications required to renew a mold assessor\, mold remediation contractor\, and mold abatement worker license.  Upon successful completion of the course\, participants will receive a certification of completion\, which is necessary to apply for the renewal of your license.  Full attendance of the course is required to receive a certificate of completion. \nTraining topics include an introduction to indoor air quality\, the health effects of mold\, regulations & guidelines\, safe work practices\, and state of the art work practices in mold remediation. The training will include presentations\, group discussion\, and case studies. \nTrainer: Michael Needham\, CSP\, CSC\, CFPS\, CIT\, CHMP\, Principal Consultant of Needham Risk Management Resource Group\, LLC.  Michael is a Licensed Department of Labor Mold Accessor and Certified Safety Professional\, Registered Environmental Scientist\, Certified Fire Protection Specialist\, and a Certified Instructional Trainer. Michael is a Safety and Health Professional\, Risk Manager and Trainer with over 30 years of industry experience in the field of environmental\, health and safety.
