DOT Hazardous Waste Shipper Certification

The United States Department of Transportation 49 CFR Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) requires all personnel involved in shipping of hazardous materials be trained every three years. Individuals who sign hazardous waste manifests are considered Hazmat employees under this regulation.

This training will meet the requirement from DOT for facilities personnel and others who sign hazardous waste shipping papers. Certificates will be issued on completion of this training.

Needham Risk Management recommends that all employers have an employee trained in these areas.

Who should attend?

 Safety and Health Designees, Safety Professionals, Administrators, Chemical Hygiene Officers, Science Department Chairpersons, and Science Department Curriculum Coordinators.
